The models at The Old World Trader must be seen to be fully appreciated. The hand-built model ships are 100% hand made. Every component is shaped or cast by hand. The ships are built from plans rather than kits, and include rosewood, blackwood, light ebony and other exotic woods. The rigging is highly detailed with special attention given to realism. These ships are made by true artisans, and the quality and detail are exceptional.

We carry a second line of models as well. These are our hand-made mahogany models. Each is made of solid mahogany and is lacquered to impart a high shine. They too are beautiful. We carry a number of styles that include classic cars, farm equipment, locomotives, boats, and aircraft. In addition, we can special order from dozens of styles of civilian and military aircraft and even have them shipped directly to you or the person you specify.
