NATURE & NATURAL HISTORY:

Sabertooth Cat The world around us has always been and continues to be fascinating. The Old World Trader offers a variety of products for individuals interested in nature and natural history. Our fossils are clearly "fossils." We like to stock specimens that are big and interesting. You will find common and exotic trilobites, orthoceras, ammonites, keichousaurus, goniatite, sinohydrosaurus, insect amber, fish, plants, and other specimens to choose from. Pieces range from inexpensive souvenirs to high quality specimens worth hundreds of dollars or more. At the time of this posting, we offer a five foot long orthoceras for $899.95. Nobody on the Web is offering a similar example for less than twice our price. These specimens change constantly, but there is always something big in stock.

Paleoanthropology is an interesting and highly controversial field of study. We offer a selection of museum quality casts and replicas of hominid fossils. Many are available by special order, but several are kept in stock. No matter what a person's position is on the human evolution debate, these casts make strong impressions. They seem to raise as many questions as they answer.

The sunset moth has stunning colors as do many of our other framed specimens. You do not have to look to the past to be amazed. The world around us is full of things to marvel over. At The Old World Trader, we stock a large assortment of framed exotic spiders, mammal skeletons, butterflies, and other insects. Some of the colors are spectacular, and it is often hard to imagine such intense colors and unusual shapes and designs existing in nature. For everything that is "creepy" looking, there is something else equally beautiful.

The Old World Trader is located in Rolla, Missouri. Rolla is within an hour and a half of St Louis, Springfield, Columbia, and Jefferson City. We are only a short drive from Fort Leonard Wood.
