While we do not presently have a "Christianity" section, we probably will as space and time allow. At the time of this posting, we offer dozens of books of interest to people placing the Bible into historical context. These include interlinear Greek-Hebrew-English Bibles, histories of Biblical lands and peoples, early church writings, books about saints, and more. This is a popular topic, and it will continue to be developed.
We are also always looking for ancient and medieval artifacts related to early Christianity. Biblical coins include ancient Judaean widow's mites and coins issued by Herod, Roman coins issued under Pontius Pilate and Constantine "The Great," Byzantine and medieval coins with Christian symbolism. We offer ancient Jewish oil lamps, Byzantine crosses, and occassionally other artifacts. Of course, all are guaranteed for authenticity and satisfaction.
Our Greek icons were commissioned in Greece specifically for The Old World Trader. They are hand-painted, in the traditional manner, with tempura paint on gold leaf. We also offer inexpensive Russian icons and 150 different patron saint medals. This inventory is developing and expanding as well.
The Old World Trader is located in Rolla, Missouri. Rolla is within an hour and a half of St Louis, Springfield, Columbia, and Jefferson City. We are only a short drive from Fort Leonard Wood.
