The Old World Trader generally does not carry many "antiques" in the typical sense. It is our intention to avoid carrying items that can generally be found in common antique and flea market shops. We generally try to keep our focus on antiques that are at least 200 years old. There are a few pieces that we offer that are newer. Generally the newer pieces (100-200 years old) are offered for their historical significance. Newer examples include pieces such as our recently acquired English Lancers lance, issued in the late 1800s. More typical examples of what we offer would be our 16th to 18th century maps, manuscripts, weapons, and other artifacts. We strive to ensure the inventory offered at The Old World Trader is unlike that offered anyplace else within at least 100 miles.

You need not beware of purchasing from The Old World Trader. As with all of our original ancient, medieval, and antiquarian pieces, both satisfaction and authenticity are guaranteed. It is certain your experience at The Old World Trader will be unlike that you may be used to.
